How therapy works
You can learn new patterns that bring calm and confidence.
Therapy for anxiety and stress is most effective when it takes into considering how your body’s nervous system is affected and plays a role in keeping the cycle going. Sometimes you just need a space to think and process, to identify what’s going on and what to do about it.
Anxiety therapy with me takes into consideration your unique nervous system, your thought processes, your environment and circumstances. You’ll learn somatic approaches to calm your nervous system over time while you uncover and address the root causes of feelings of overwhelm.
I have over 12 years of experience helping women make sense of their emotional world and build a renewed sense of calm and confidence.

FAQs

Anxiety and worry are a little different. Worry happens to everyone and is part of everyday life as you think about and resolve potential problems. Anxiety refers to worry that has become more intense, difficult to control and lasts longer. It usually involves some physical symptoms (like shortness of breath, tight muscles, sweaty hands, etc.), and has started to impact your life in some way (like difficult concentrating, eating, or sleeping).

If you have symptoms like difficulty sleeping, eating or concentrating (or others) or if your worry has started to impact your relationships, your work or your free time it could be a good idea to find some support. It’s also a good idea to find support before you start to have symptoms. If you’re wondering, it might be a good time to schedule a free consult call to see if therapy could be helpful for you.

Absolutely! Stress and anxiety affect men just as much as women and I love working with men and non-binary people. I have found most of my male clients to really enjoy my process. While I have experience with non-binary folks, if gender identity is part of your main concern I won’t be the best fit for you but would be happy to give you referrals to other therapists who specialize in this area
